Hello Spartan Families,
I’m going to try to keep this message brief, but feel free to
contact me directly if you have any questions.
Tomorrow (Friday, June 19) you will be receiving a DRAFT copy of
your student’s 2020/2021 timetable. Obviously the process was a lot different
this year, and the conditions didn’t allow me to collaborate with parents and
students as much as I typically do in order to build these timetables. Many of
the timetables worked out perfectly, but many still have gaps that need to be
fixed. In some cases I made a few modifications to student choices (in order to
make things work), and a few times I had to get a little creative. In any case,
don’t panic! I’m committed to working with you to make the best timetable
possible for your son or daughter.
Attached you will find a copy of our DRAFT Master Timetable
for the next school year. Take a look at the options available, and if you can
see ways in which your student’s schedule can be fixed (or completed), please
contact me through email and we’ll work together to get it right.
Regarding eLearning courses, we had a significant number of
students expressing interest for these courses when we did our selections
earlier this year. Please note: E-LEARNING COURSES MAY NOT SHOW UP ON THE DRAFT
TIMETABLE YOU RECEIVE. If your child is enrolled in an eLearning class, you
would have received an email about that already. There are a lot of excellent
eLearning options still available (I’ve included a list at the bottom of the
Master Timetable); if your student is interested, just email me and I can take
care of the registration.
Finally, I wanted to mention that while face-to-face summer
school programs are not available in our school board this year, there are
online options (in both July and August). You can see the complete list here:
http://www.thelearningcentres.com/high-school-student/summer-school
Again, if you have any questions, please contact me by email.
I’m looking forward to the time that we can get back together again and have
these kind of conversations in person.
Take care!
